Monument Hackathon:
"A hackathon is an event where interdisciplinary talents from different fields come together to develop innovative and sometimes unusual solutions for real and relevant problems from industry / business."

- Showing the complexity of the topic of "monument revitalisation"
- But tackling complexity through broad expertise: Interaction between different experts, holistic approach
- The revitalisation process is demonstrated using a building (in or around Leipzig) as an example
- In short time slots on individual topics, selected experts will work together with trade fair visitors to develop individual building blocks from building research, utilisation and structural concepts to financing models and technical implementation details
- The end result is a fundamentally functioning utilisation and implementation concept

Description

The holistic knowledge and skills of the players at Denkmal Messe Leipzig enable the rescue perspective of a monument within just two days.

Result:

- The "fastest rescue of a monument" in the history of monuments

- Hand in hand, impossible things become possible together

- Piloting a further development of the trade fair concept from Network & Knowledge Transfer to "Do!"
