Description

Historic buildings, listed buildings, and indeed many older existing buildings present particular challenges when it comes to renovation: damp, cracks and the desire for energy efficiency require bespoke solutions that combine authenticity with modern standards.

For many years, Rajasil has been offering tried-and-tested renovation systems specifically designed to meet these requirements. This presentation will demonstrate how a carefully coordinated product approach works from the foundations right up to the facade – from retrofit waterproofing and property-specific interior and exterior renders through to internal thermal insulation.

In particular, approaches and solutions to typical challenges in building renovation will be presented using numerous practical examples:

- Resistance to driving rain from the outside

- Retrofitting waterproofing measures

- Highly vapour-permeable render systems for demanding substrates

- Specialised joint mortars for surfaces requiring heritage-appropriate treatment

- Internal thermal insulation of external walls

- Stone restoration mortars and special formulations for specific requirements

The aim: to provide a holistic understanding of the system, helping planners, architects, heritage conservationists and restorers to select the correct steps for their projects, whilst ensuring product reliability in terms of application and the durability of the measures.
