ICOMOS: AI & Heritage Conservation Workshop

10:00 AM - 3:30 PM Fri, 06 Nov

Description

Artificial intelligence (AI) has already had an enormous impact on our everyday lives and

is, of course, also becoming increasingly important in the field of heritage conservation. For the past three years, ICOMOS Germany has been supporting the use of AI in heritage conservation. In 2026, the focus will be, on the one hand, on practical application at the heritage site itself and, on the other, on data repositories and heritage communication. The aim of the workshop on 6 November is to develop strategies for integrating artificial intelligence into the preservation of cultural heritage.

The German-language workshop is organised by ICOMOS Germany with the support of msg systems ag, the Association of State Heritage Authorities (AG Denkmalinformationssysteme), ETH Zurich (Chair of Structural Heritage and Heritage Conservation), HTWK Leipzig, Blue Shield Germany and the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT.
