Presentation of the discussion draft for denkmal 2026

1:00 PM - 1:45 PM Thu, 05 Nov

Description

The new guidance document ‘Areas of Expertise in the Preservation of Cultural Heritage’ is intended to provide guidance at the interface between craftsmanship, restoration, planning, academia and heritage conservation.

It is being developed through a broadly coordinated working process involving key stakeholders in heritage conservation and restoration in Saxony.

During the event, the project team will present the current draft for discussion and provide insights into the guide’s development, objectives and areas of application.

The focus will be on questions regarding roles, qualifications, responsibilities and the professional collaboration between the various stakeholders involved in the preservation of cultural heritage.

Afterwards, participants are invited to share their experiences, suggestions and professional perspectives.

The aim is to further develop the guidance document collaboratively and to create a practical tool that promotes transparency, facilitates cooperation and contributes to quality assurance in the management of our cultural heritage.
