An event for teachers taking part in denkmal aktiv. The focus is on careers in the field of heritage conservation and a discussion on career guidance within the context of heritage projects with pupils.

Description

Experiencing historic monuments as places of learning and exploring their history in the context of the present day – that is the idea behind denkmal aktiv, the school programme run by the Deutschen Stiftung Denkmalschutz. Since 2002, the programme has been promoting school projects nationwide at general and vocational schools focused on learning through historic monuments, and supporting teachers in incorporating historic monuments and related topics into their lessons. The programme is sponsored by the German UNESCO Commission.

The event is aimed at teachers taking part in ‘denkmal aktiv’. The focus is on careers in heritage conservation and restoration, and on an exchange of ideas regarding career guidance within the context of the school projects currently being funded.
