Reusing building materials: exchange, networking and practical application with laser engraving

Description

How can we reuse existing building components and materials instead of disposing of them? What structures and processes are needed to achieve this? Which stakeholders, what expertise and what practical knowledge are required? Who has building components or storage space, who can contribute knowledge and skills, and who would like to get involved in the network?

The new digital component exchange spolia (beta phase) run by Denkmalnetz Sachsen and the InTraBau project BauTeilHütte kommunal provide a platform for joint discussion on the opportunities, challenges and prerequisites of reuse.

And there’ll be a hands-on element: together, we’ll experiment with various materials and explore how used materials can be redesigned and reused through laser engraving.
