Marco Röttgen

Vita

After completing his architecture degree at RWTH Aachen University, Marco Röttgen gained several years’ professional experience as a salaried architect in Cologne. Since 2015, he has been working at the Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb NRW (BLB NRW) in the Aachen branch, where, as a project manager on the client side, he is responsible for refurbishment projects at RWTH Aachen University. For several years, he has been dedicated to introducing Lean Construction into BLB NRW’s projects. In addition, he focuses on alternative project management models such as Integrated Project Management (IPA). He underlined his expertise in this field in 2021 by qualifying as a Certified Expert in Lean Design & Engineering. He is currently also involved in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Lean Construction (LEAN) specialist groups at buildingSMART Deutschland e. V. (bSD).
