Since December 2022, she has been an adviser on municipal heritage conservation strategies at the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments; prior to that, she spent seven years at EURAC in Bolzano as part of the research group on energy-efficient refurbishment of historic buildings, most recently as a senior researcher; from 2008 to 2013, she was a member of staff at Dresden University of Technology; and from 2005 to 2008, she worked as a trainee and research at the Saxon State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments. Member of the Working Group on Theory and Teaching in Heritage Conservation and of ICOMOS Germany. From 2020 to 2025, President of the International Scientific Committee on Energy, Sustainability and Climate Change (ISCES).
