Ph.D. Filip Suchoń

Vita

Filip Suchoń, Ph.D., serves as a licensed architect and as a Research and Teaching Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Cracow University of Technology. His research focuses on urban transformations, fortification heritage, and spatial development, with particular emphasis on the Kraków Fortress (Twierdza Kraków) and the broader Austro-Hungarian fortified systems of Central Europe. He has authored 30 scientific publications, including seven articles in high-impact journals, and integrates archival research with digital reconstruction and conservation documentation of endangered heritage. He represents Poland in the Austrian Society for Fortification Research (OeGF) and is a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences' Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture. He welcomes international academic collaboration in heritage research and conservation.
