The enamelled lava stone originates from a technique developed by Parisian artists in the 19th century. Lava stone, which is extracted from the Volvic quarries in France, is covered with a layer of enamelled glaze. This French know-how is now recognised as a craft.

This highly resistant product is ideal for outdoor signage as it can withstand weathering, UV radiation and vandalism (scratching, graffiti).
Lava stone can also be used as a floor milestone with an anti-slip coating. With phosphorescent paint, individual elements can be made to glow at night or it can be sandblasted, creating a special look and feel.
