Christian Baierl, 44, began his professional career at age 18 at the Lamberts glassworks in Waldsassen. In the years that followed, he held various positions, most recently as head of exports and sales. In this role, he was responsible for global sales and project management for hand-blown and hand-cast flat glass. His work took him to numerous locations and many countries, where he forged close ties and engaged in in-depth discussions with architects, builders, restorers, artists, and artisans. These experiences fostered a deep understanding of the requirements of various applications and the needs of those working in this specialized field. In 2023, he was appointed Managing Director of the historic glass manufacturer Glashütte Lamberts Waldsassen, thereby continuing his longstanding association with the company and its distinctive craftsmanship.
