Description

BIM – Building Information Modelling – enables the planning, communication and operation of a building to be consolidated into a single dataset. Information and 3D models are combined and shared with all stakeholders – the digital twin 2.0. Unlike new-build projects, existing buildings pose particular challenges for this method – HeritageBIM is the answer. What advantages does it offer, and what challenges does heritage conservation face in this regard?
