2026: Midterm Review of Linear Projects: Opportunities, Lessons Learned, and Areas for Improvement

Linear projects such as motorways and pipelines have had a significant impact on archaeology in Germany since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The energy transition, in particular, is bringing about new construction projects. The conference aims to bring together findings from three decades of route archaeology and to discuss their implications for planners, investors and specialist firms.
